Nancy Bellflowers Hanna, 70, widow of Jerl "Jerry" Hanna, Jr., passed away peacefully after a brief illness at the McLeod Hospice House on Thursday, January 22, 2026.  Nancy was surrounded by her loving family as she stepped into the arms of her Savior.

A daughter of Nellie Bellflowers and the late Mack Bellflowers, Nancy was born on March 14, 1955 in Columbia, South Carolina.  Her family later moved to Johnsonville where she grew up within the community that she spent the majority of her life.  She was a graduate of the Johnsonville High Class of 1973.  Her early years laid the foundation for a life marked by dedication, compassion, and unwavering faith.

Nancy devoted her professional life to McLeod's Hospital, where she served as a Computer Analyst. Over the course of 35 years, she became a trusted and respected member of the hospital community before retiring. Her work ethic and commitment to excellence left a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike.

A member of Old Johnsonville Methodist Church, Nancy served faithfully in a variety of church offices throughout the years. Her deep-rooted faith was not only evident in her service but also in the way she lived each day—with humility, grace, and a heart always turned toward others. Nancy will always be remembered for her servant's heart and her unwavering faith, which guided and shaped her life as well as shaped the way she loved others. She lived her faith through quiet acts of kindness, humility, and a constant willingness to put the needs of others above her own. Nancy's life was a beautiful testimony of faith in action.

Nancy found great joy in simple pleasures—gardening under the Carolina sun, casting a line while fishing, and especially vacationing with family. Among her most cherished roles was that of great-grandmother, "Nana"; she treasured every moment spent with her great-grandson Mackenzie Marion Jones and eagerly anticipated the arrival of Baby Girl Jones this coming June.  Nothing brought Nancy more joy than spending time with this cherished family.  She provided them with love that was steady, unconditional, and freely given.  This love was Nancy's way of making others feel valued, comforted, and deeply cared for as well and above all else reflecting the love of Christ.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Melanie (Spencer) Jones; grandson, Taylor (Harley) Jones; great-grandson, Mackenzie Marion Jones; mother, Nellie Bellflowers; and brothers Jimmy (Esther) Bellflowers, Michael (Janice) Bellflowers, and Samuel (Debra) Bellflowers as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who were dear to her heart.

In addition to her father, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, Jerl "Jerry" Hanna, Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Old Johnsonville Methodist Church.  The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary, located at 846 S Georgetown Highway, Johnsonville, South Carolina, 29555, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home, will take place in Garden of Devotion Cemetery (800 S Georgetown Highway, Johnsonville, South Carolina, 29555) immediately following the Celebration of Life.

While those who knew Nancy will grieve her earthly absence, may they rejoice in the promise of eternal life and take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior. "Well done, good and faithful servant."
