Olin Douglas Richardson, 85, husband of Betty Johnson Richardson, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Olin was born in Britton Neck, SC a son of the late Aubrey E. Richardson and the late Gladys Chestnut. He was a member of the Christian Life Ministries Pentecostal Holiness Church, formerly known as Kingsburg Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he served as a deacon.

He enjoyed farming, fishing, gardening, growing flowers especially African Violets and Christmas Cactus, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Johnson Richardson; children, Michael (Tonya) Richardson, Kathy (Wayne) Jones and Janice (Randy) Cox; grandchildren, Charles (Erin) Nealey, Ashley Jones, Jessica Ulery (Mike Poston), Michael Richardson II, Tonya Wheeler Baggett (Thomas Howell), William Anthony (Myranda) Richardson, Betsy (Kyle) Riley, and Bradley Cox; 20 great grandchildren; sister, Nadine Jones as well as 19 brothers and sisters. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Regency Hospice for the tender loving care they gave to Mr. Olin as well as the family during the time of his illness.

He was predeceased by a son, William Anthony "Tony" Richardson; grandson, Randall Cox; and sister, Shirley Hawthorne.

Funeral services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 13, 2021 in the Twin Cities Baptist Church. Burial, with Military Honors, will be in the Garden of Devotion Cemetery, 800 S. Georgetown Hwy., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday, November 13, 2021 in the Twin Cities Baptist Church, 982 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.

Memorials may be made to Regency Hospice, 960 Pamplico Hwy., Suite K, Florence, SC 29505.
