Patty Jo Tullis-Venters, 59, widow of Ashton Jeffery Venters, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023 in the McLeod Hospice House.

Patty was born in Hillsboro, OR, a daughter of James "Jim" Tullis and Fiona K. Lomax Neumann. Patty treasured her family and friends. She grew up in the Pacific Northwest where she loved to visit her extended family.  She was welcomed into the local community in 1993 and has enjoyed the warmth and friendships of her Southern family for the past 30 years. She was a cosmetologist at Hair Fair in Johnsonville, SC. On both sides of the country, her favorite place was at the beach.

Throughout her life, Patty was a compassionate and generous person. One particular talent was her incredible eye for design using color and texture.  She freely shared her gift with friends and the community by helping decorate for parties, weddings, and school events.

Patty loved to travel and was fortunate to visit most of the US states, plus the Caribbean, Costa Rica, the Panama Canal, and South East Asia. Her last holiday was a fabulous family trip to Mexico. Memories of that will be treasured forever by all.

She is survived by her sons, Adam (Ashlyn) Venters, Johnsonville, SC and Cody James Venters of Summerville, SC; parents, James "Jim" (Barbara) Tullis, of Londonderry, NH and Fiona K. Lomax Neumann, of Vancouver, WA; sister and brothers, Mary (Mike) Johnson, of Petaluma, CA, Mike (Katrina) Tullis, of Vancouver, WA, and Steve (Sheryl) Tullis, of Seattle, WA.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ashton Jeffery Venters, and a son, Jacob Brady Venters.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 19, 2023 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Hemingway, SC.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Sunday, March 19, 2023 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
