Phyllis Williams Coward,58, wife of Carl Coward passed away Monday, March 2, 2020 in a Lake City hospital after a sudden illness.

Mrs. Phyllis was born in Kingstree, S.C. She was the daughter of Betty Blakely Williams Coker and the late John M. Williams. She was a homemaker, a member of Matthews Tabernacle Pentecostal Holiness Church and was retired from C V Unlimited in Hemingway, SC.
She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to the beach.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Carl Coward; son, Matt Ard; grandson, Gauge Ard; mother, Betty B. Coker; sisters, Karen (Delen) Yarborough and Johnette (Joe) Coker; a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 6, 2020 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, 114 E. Trinity Road, Johnsonville, SC

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, March 5, 2020
