Rachel Stone Baxley, 80, wife of Joseph E. Baxley, Sr., passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at her home.

Mrs. Rachel was born in Lake City, SC, a daughter of the late Clarence and Lavieu Suggs Stone. She was retired from the Civil Service and was a faithful member of Rehobeth Pentecostal Holiness Church. She enjoyed sewing, making dolls, blankets, and doing word search puzzles.

Surviving is her husband of 63 years, Joseph E. Baxley, Sr.; daughters, Enola (James) Railton and Melissa Franklin; sisters, Doris Franceschini and Juanita Ritter; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Joseph E. Baxley, Jr.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, November 9, 2017 in the Rehobeth Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be in the Old Johnsonville Cemetery, 846 S. Georgetown Hwy., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Thursday, November 9, 2017 in Rehobeth Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1573 Cow Head Road, Hemingway, SC 29554.
