Ranny Fricen Hatchell,75, passed away from a long term illness, peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, January 12, 2018.

Mr. Ranny was born in Kingsburg, SC, a son of the late Roland and Pearl Miles Hatchell. Ranny was an "old school" husband and father. He supported his family as a journeyman electrician for over forty years. He was a lifetime member of the Kingsburg Baptist Church and served in positions of Trustee, Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent and Custodian over a span of forty-eight years. He loved riding his motorcycle and was an avid vintage car enthusiast competing at national level car shows and taking first place in the 1996 AACA Fall Meet in Jacksonville, FL..

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine "Geri" Reason Hatchell; children, Amy Hatchell Weaver (Darman), and Chad Hatchell (Michelle); sisters, Miriam Hare, Ramona Scott, Mary Godwin, Patricia Turner (Eddie), Irene Tanner (Buck); brother, Benny Hatchell (Joyce); grandchildren, Chase Stone (Kelly), Olivia Gaster (Trae), and Taylor Wise; great-grandchildren, Blakley Stone, Rayce Stone, and Sarah Gaster.
He was predeceased by brothers, Bobby Hatchell and Billy Hatchell.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 15, 2018 in the Kingsburg Baptist Church, 1730 Old River Road, Johnsonville, SC. Interment, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be in the Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, 114 E. Trinity Road, Johnsonville, SC.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Sunday, January 14, 2018 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kingsburg Baptist Church, 1655 Allison Landing Road, Johnsonville, SC 29555.
