Rhonda Lynn Bennett,52, wife of James Robert "Bert" Tanner, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2019 in a Lake City hospital.

Mrs. Rhonda was born in Crestview, FL, a daughter of the late J Henry and Shirley Aycock Mathis. She was a retired Manager of the Huddle House and she attended Westside Free Will Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren which were the apple of her eye.

She is survived by her husband, James Robert "Bert" Tanner; children, Alicia Bennett, Tosha (Travis Thaxton) Bennett, Sunni Brown, Charles Tanner, and Ashley Cook; adopted as her own, Cayla Eaddy, Kim Thames, and Jarred Dempsey; sister, Donna Hinton; grandchildren, Breanna, Colby, Liam, Adalynn, Jayden, Maggie, Jaycee, Easton, London, and Hannah; special friend, Sandra Kay Burkett.
She was predeceased by a sister, Susan Mathis.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 17, 2019 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Thompson Cemetery, 599 Lancer Dr., Florence, SC 29506.

The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 17, 2019 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
