Mr. RL Holden, Jr., 79, husband of Jenny Poston Holden, passed away Friday, January 17, 2020 in the McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC.

Mr. RL was born in Brittons Neck, SC, a son of the late Rufus Lide Holden, Sr., and the late Carrie Watson Holden. He was the owner and operator of H & H Service Center in Johnsonville and was a retired mechanic for the Wool Division of Wellman Industries.

He was a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church and a US Army veteran. Mr. RL loved restoring vintage cars and loved serving the Lord.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jenny Poston Holden; daughters, English (Daniel) Barrineau and Shana (Russ) Boatwright; grandson, Landen Barrineau; granddaughter, Holden Boatwright; brother, Harvey (Georgie) Holden; sister, Jeraline (Tom) Brown; special friend, Frankie Poston; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 20, 2020 in the Johnsonville Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will be private, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Sunday, January 19, 2020 in the Johnsonville Pentecostal Holiness Church, 330 N. Georgetown Hwy., Johnsonville, SC 29555 and other times at the home of Daniel and English Barrineau, 532 Myrtle Wood Dr., Johnsonville, SC 29555.
