Rodger "Roddy" Mixon Miller, 74, husband of Mary Hambrick Miller, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2020, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC.

Mr. Roddy is survived by a wife, Mary; daughters, Wendy (Alex) Cribb and Stephanie (Trip) Carmichael, and a son, Roland Paul Miller, all of Hemingway, SC; grandsons, Ethan (Lauren) Cribb, Jordan Carmichael, Haze (Holly) Carmichael, Dalton Miller, and Clay Poston, and granddaughters Rachel Cribb and Juleiane Miller.

Mr. Roddy was born at home in Hemingway, SC, on May 26, 1945, a son of Roland Haze Miller and Lula Mixon Miller. He was the youngest son of four children – Haze Miller, Randy (Margaret) Miller, and Carrie (Winky) Elliott. Mr. Roddy was a faithful, dedicated Christian, and was a member of Center Baptist Church in Hemingway, SC. Mr. Roddy retired from International Paper Company and worked on his family farm.

Mr. Roddy enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and being outdoors hunting and fishing on the Great Pee Dee River of Georgetown County. He enjoyed cooking his famous pileau and riding his golf cart to visit with his children every evening.

Graveside funeral services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, and will be private due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
