Ronald R. "Ronnie" Powell, 75, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 at his home.

Ronnie was born on September 28, 1946 at the Whitehead Clinic in Lake City, SC. He was a son of the late Arris L. and Mary Ann Saunders Powell. He was a stone and brick mason, a graduate of Johnsonville High School, and served in the US Army. He was a member of the Westside Free Will Baptist Church and was an avid Gamecock Fan.

He was a true recycler and loved to collect old unique bricks, he also enjoyed swimming and going to the river and debating politics. At any social event or family get together, he enjoyed playing games and laughing, and that is what he treasured the most along with his cats.

He is survived by  Cheryl Powell; a son, Myron Powell; siblings, Michael (Leomia) Powell, Kenneth (Theresa) Powell, Grayling (Patricia) Powell, and Leeann Griggs.

Memorial services will be held 3 PM Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Westside FWB Church, 530 Vox Hwy, Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 2 PM - 3 PM Sunday, February 27, 2022, at the church.
