Hemingway, SC

Ronnie D. Gunter, 75, passed away at his home on Thursday, September 22, 2022.

Ronnie was born in Hemingway, SC a son of the late Ruford L. and Lillie Carter Gunter. He was a retired farmer, enjoyed raising livestock, and was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his siblings, Donnie W. Gunter and Janice (Michael) Bellflowers; nephews, Jason (Jan) Gunter, Dwight (Abria) Gunter, and Ben (Canelia) Bellflowers; nieces, Holly Gunter, Crystal (Tracy) Stone, Cheryl Marsh, and Patricia (Shot) Cribb; numerous great nieces, great nephews, and cousins; sister-in-law, Gwen (Nicky) Richardson.

He was predeceased by brothers, Randal Gunter and Roger Dale Gunter.

Graveside services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 25, 2022 in the Eaddy Ford Cemetery, 481 S. Eaddy Ford Rd., Johnsonville, SC.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the McLeod Hospice Staff and Heather Matthews and Leah Howell that helped take care of him during his last illness.
