Rose Marie Norelli Powers, 97,  widow of Francis J. Powers, Jr., passed away peacefully at her home in Nesmith, South Carolina on August 31, 2025.

A daughter of the late Anthony and Frances Diliberto Norelli, Rose Marie was born August 29, 1928, in Orange City, New Jersey.  She lived a long and full life marked by dedication to her profession, her family, and her faith. She earned an Associate's Degree in nursing and devoted herself to the care of others throughout her career. Her work with patients was not just a job but a calling that brought her great fulfillment.

Rose Marie found joy in simple pleasures and pastimes that brought people together. She loved going to casinos and playing Bingo—activities that combined her love for fun with her social spirit. Camping trips to the Pocono Mountains were among her favorite getaways, offering cherished memories of nature and companionship.  Rose Marie was a longtime member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of West Orange, where she found spiritual strength and community.

Rose Marie is survived by her son Francis J. Powers, III; her foster son William Todd; and her grandson Thomas Powers. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.

In addition to her husband and parents, Rose Marie was predeceased by a son Thomas Powers.

Funeral services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 6, 2025 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel located at 416, N Main Street, Hemingway, South Carolina, 29554.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial, directed by Galante Funeral Home of Caldwell, New Jersey, will take place at a later date.
