Rose Marie Poston Owens, 63, wife of Johnny Owens, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021 at her home.

Rose Marie was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late John "Pat" and Gracie McAlister Poston. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

She enjoyed working in her yard with her flowers, hunting and fishing, but most of all she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Johnny Owens; children, Ashley Marie (Brian) Wenger, Johnny Jr. (Wrae) Owens, and Cory Patrick (Stacie) Owens; seven grandchildren; brother, Wayne (Sherry) Poston; sisters-in-law, Nancy Poston, Wanda Poston, Renee Poston, and Anne Poston; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Zane and six brothers, John, Paul, Earl, Lewis, David, and Terry.

Funerals services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, December 13, 2021 in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Family Life Center, 11904 Pleasant Hill Dr., Hemingway, SC 29554.
