Sallie Joan Bolyn, 85, widow of Dan Bolyn, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Lake Moultrie Nursing Home, St. Stephens S.C.

Mrs. Joan was born in Lake City, SC, a daughter of the late Howell and Sallie Myers Cockfield. She was a member of Poplar Hill Free Will Baptist Church, The Young At Heart and the Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving are her children, Frank (Cheryl) Bolyn, Joy (Lynn) Mobley, and Epps (Larry) Green; grandchildren, Tonya (Scott) Stone, Danielle Mincey, Cliff Owens, Bo (Deanna) Green, Kelli (Davis) Jayroe, and Mellissa Gowans; great-grandchildren, Hunter Elizabeth, Cole, Savannah, Tate, Savannah H., David, Mary Frances, Eliza Clair, Emma, and Ava.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 26, 2018 in the Poplar Hill Free Will Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the Poplar Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 2380 S. State Hwy 41/51, Hemingway, SC 29554.
