Sallie Martin Nettles, 86, wife of Robert Nettles, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 in a Florence hospital. Mrs. Sallie was born in Conway, SC, a daughter of the late Lloyd Patrick and Louise Todd Martin. She had worked for Wellman Industries as a noble cone operator and had also worked in the cutting department for Wentworth Industries in Lake City.

She attended New Vision Free Will Baptist Church, enjoyed working in her yard, riding on the pontoon boat, talking to her friends on the telephone, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert Lee Nettles; grandchildren, Patrick Lee "P. J." (Rachel Jeffords) Nettles, Jr. and Kaitlyn (Alexander Sampson) Nettles; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Nettles; great-granddaughters, Lennox Sampson and Layla Rose Sampson; sister, Geanean (Harold) Brown; brother, Lonnie (Beaulah) Martin.

She was predeceased by a son, Patrick "Pat" Nettles, Sr.; sister, Jan Skipper; brother, Billy Martin.

Graveside services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be held at 2:30 PM Wednesday, December 2, 2020 in the Garden of Devotion Cemetery, 800 S. Georgetown Hwy., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 2:30 PM Wednesday, December 2, 2020 and after the service at the Garden of Devotion Cemetery, 800 S. Georgetown Hwy., Johnsonville, SC 29555 and at all other times at their home, 161 Maple Street, Johnsonville, SC 29555.

Memorials may be made to the New Vision Free Will Baptist Church, 2616 State Hwy. 41/51, Hemingway, SC 29554.
