Hemingway, SC

Samuel Derrell Eaddy, 67, passed away Monday, July 19, 2021 at his home.

Mr. Derrell was born in Hemingway, SC, a son of the late Samuel J. and Dixie Thompson. He was a timber buyer and former partner with Kingstree Forest Products in Kingstree, SC. He was a member of the Midway Baptist Church and was an avid outdoorsman.

He is survived by a wife of 47 years, Linda Richardson Eaddy; daughter, Amy (Robert) Haynes; grandson, Michael Haynes; sisters, Ann Barrineau, Redetha Altman, and Linda (Elwood) Springs; a number of nieces and nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Betty Eaddy and Frances Koonce; his beloved pets, Yagi and Macy.

He was predeceased by brothers, Sidney Eaddy, Jerry Eaddy, and Johnny Eaddy; sister, Charlene Eaddy; brother-in-law, R. L. Barrineau.

Services will be private, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
