Hemingway SC

Samuel Dean Thomas, son of to the late Samuel Pledger Thomas and Carolyn Faye Cox. Born on October 28, 1966, in Thomasville, North Carolina. passed away on August 10, 2026 at 59, at the Mcleod Hospice House in Florence, SC.

Samuel had a passion for hands-on activities and hobbies that brought him joy and fulfillment. He enjoyed shooting pool, riding mopeds, and working on small engines. He has attended Huggins Chapel of Hemingway SC. He graduated Hemingway High School class of 1986. He was the meat market manager across many different stores.

He is survived by his sisters Kimberly Thomas, Wendy (Anthony) Hyman, and Tammy (Guy) Webb; his aunt Frances Howell; as well as several nieces and nephews, who will cherish their memories of him ; along with his four legged BFF, Lucky.

A visitation, directed by Morris Funeral Home, will be held on Saturday August 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM, in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel 416 N Main Street Hemingway, SC 29554.
