Mrs. Sandra Cox Tanner, 75, passed away peacefully at her home in Pawley's Island, SC on Monday, January 15, 2024.

Mrs. Sandra, a daughter of the late Blondon and Lois Cox, was born "at the old homeplace" in Hemingway, SC.  Mrs. Sandra attended and earned an Associates Degree in Accounting from Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Georgia.  She used her degree working as an accountant for Georgetown Steel for over thirty years.  During her younger years, Mrs. Sandra was a member of Rehobeth Pentecostal Holiness Church in Hemingway.  After her marriage, she joined the Georgetown Pentecostal Holiness Church.  Mrs. Sandra enjoyed gardening, bird watching, making "goodies" for everyone to enjoy, and cheering on her favorite baseball team, the Atlanta Braves.  Above all, she was a grandmother who "doted on the grands" and loved spending time with them at every opportunity.

Mrs. Sandra is survived by her husband of 55 years, William Tanner; daughter Melissa (Cam) Cooper; son Brian (Katie) Tanner; grandchildren Audrey Cooper, Callie Cooper, Bryton Tanner, Cole Tanner, and Wyatt Jayroe; a sister, Lynn (David) Benton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, William Gregory Tanner and a brother Bobby (Paula) Cox.

Funeral services, directed by Morris Funeral Home, Hemingway, SC,  will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 18, 2024 in the Rehobeth Pentecostal Holiness Church.  Burial will be in the Garden of Devotion Cemetery, 800 S. Georgetown Highway, Johnsonville, SC  29555.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM on January 18, 2024 at the Rehobeth Pentecostal Holiness Church located at 1573 Cow Head Road, Hemingway, SC  29554.
