Sara Frances Grier Hucks, 76, widow of Ernest Jenkins Hucks, Sr., passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 in a Kingstree hospital.

Mrs. Sara was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late James Clifford and Essie Pauline McDaniel Grier. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hemingway First Pentecostal Holiness Church. She enjoyed sewing, yard work, crafts, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Ernest J. (Nancy) Hucks, Jr. and Anthony W. (Cynthia) Hucks, Sr., Denise (Buck) Evans, and David B. (Virginia) Hucks; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, James (Wally) Grier, Joe Grier, Libby Wiggins, and Rodney (Teresa) Grier.

She was predeceased by brothers, Charlie Grier and Larry Grier.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, February 5, 2021 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Garden of Devotion Cemetery, 800 S. Georgetown Hwy., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, February 4, 2021 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.

Memorials may be made to the Hemingway First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 107 E. Andrews St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
