Savola is survived by daughters: Kay McCants, Mary Anna McCants Ard, and Mae Marie McCants Cox (Henry Cox); a son, Edwin "Eddie" Nettles McCants, III; grandchildren:  Ricci Lahn, Ryan Lahn, Cal Ard, Elizabeth McCants, Nathan Cox, and Heather Marlowe; 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
