Scott Eric Newell, 61, husband of Holly Cribb Newell, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021 from injuries sustained in an accident.

Scott was born in Florence, SC, a son of the late James Everett and Mary Miles Newell. He was a partner in the MNB Construction and former owner and operator of Scott's Pest Control in Florence, SC. He was a member of the Old Johnsonville United Methodist Church.

He enjoyed kayaking, boating, working outside with his tractor, and all things Gamecock.

He is survived by his wife, Holly Cribb Newell; children, Brock (Brooke) Newell, Rosalyn Newell Rogers, and Bradley (Paigelyn) Newell; step-children, Nicki (Chance) Blanton, Scott (Kim) Miller, and Dylan Gaskins; brothers, Steve (Joanie) Newell, Rick (Beverly) Newell, Todd Newell, and Tracy Newell; grandchildren, Eastin, Brentley, and Greer Newell, Miles Rogers, Anna, Maelyn, Hayden, Gray, Elli, Cole, Porter, Luke, Breely, and Lexi.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, April 21, 2021 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main Sat., Hemingway, SC 29554.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, April 22, 2021 in the Garden of Devotion Cemetery, 800 S, Georgetown Hwy, Johnsonville, SC 29555.

Memorials may be made to the New Old Johnsonville Cemetery, PO Box 338, Johnsonville, SC 29555.
