Shayne Altman, 64, husband of Janice Marlowe Altman, passed away on June 28, 2026, in Florence, South Carolina.

Shayne dedicated much of his professional life to Wellman, where he worked for 31 years as a machine operator before retiring. Following his retirement, he continued to contribute his skills and work ethic as the Dairy Manager at KJ's for over five years. His commitment to his work and the relationships he built along the way left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

In his personal life, Shayne found joy in a variety of interests. He was an avid NASCAR enthusiast and had a deep appreciation for all sports. When not cheering on his favorite teams or drivers, he could often be found immersed in a good book, indulging his love of reading.

In addition to his wife Shayne is survived by his sister-in-law Brenda Gore (Chuck); nephew and niece Justin Port and Lindsey Port; and great-nieces and nephews Noah Stone, Iris Port, Violet Port, and Brenleigh Goins. He is also survived by his aunts, Irene Altman, N.C. and Let (Murray) Altman Goodman as well as many wonderful cousins whom he loved very much and they loved him as well.

He was predeceased by his father and mother Nathan Nedo Altman and Una McPhail Altman; father- and mother-in-law Bo and Johnnie Marlowe; niece Ashley Port; and brother-in-law Wayne Gore.

A Celebration of Life directed by Morris Funeral Home, will be held on Wednesday July 1, 2026, at 05:00 PM in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel 416 N Main St. Hemingway SC, 29554.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 30, 2026, from 06:00 PM to 08:00 PM in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel.
