Stella Louise Gaskins, 74, passed away on May 14, 2025, at MUSC Health, Florence, South Carolina.

Stella, a daughter of the late Archie and Stella Gordon Gaskins was born in Hemingway, South Carolina.  She was a graduate of Hemingway High School.

Stella found joy in life's simple pleasures. Some of her favorite pass times included playing the piano and participating in a good bingo game as well as sitting quietly with a knitting project in hand or working through a crossword puzzle. In addition, Stella "was a talker" whose greatest enjoyment came from conversations on the phone with family and friends.

Stella leaves behind numerous cousins and family members who will cherish their memories of time spent with her.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, 2025 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel located at 416 N Main Street, Hemingway, South Carolina, 29554. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 – 2:45 p.m. in the Morris Chapel.

Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will take place in Gaskins Cemetery, 4120 Cain Branch Circle, Pamplico, South Carolina, 29583 immediately following the funeral service.
