Susan Ruffin Brown, wife of Arnold Brown, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in a Florence hospital.
Mrs. Susan was born in Florence, SC, a daughter of the late Thomas E. and Joan Finklea Ruffin, Sr. She was a retired Music Teacher and member of the Hemingway First Baptist Church. She graduated from Queens College with a BS in Music and she enjoyed reading and gardening.
Surviving are her husband, Arnold Brown; daughters, Johanna (Stephen) Altman and Christina (Basil) Owens; grandchildren, William Matthew Altman and James Thomas Altman; brother, Thomas E. Ruffin, Jr.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 9, 2017 in the Hemingway First Baptist Church, 200 E. George St., Hemingway, SC 29554, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC.
