Susan Elaine Smith, 76, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Tidelands Health in Georgetown, SC.

Ms. Susan was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late George and Odean Smith.  She was a natural born gardener.  During her younger years, she transformed her love of plants in her work with a plant nursery.  She was also an animal lover who had special places in her heart for her fur babies.  Ms. Susan was committed to loving others to the fullest; however, her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.

Ms. Susan is survived by daughters LaTosha Glisson (Eddie Clowney) and Natalie (Lee) Poston; grandchildren Austin Thomas, Nicholas (Bailey) Thomas, and Makenzie Glisson; great-grandson Mattison Hardee; the Love of her life George Morris; a sister, Rebecca (Phillip) Mixon; a number of nieces and nephews; special daughter, Crystal Mau; and all of her beloved fur babies.

Ms. Susan chose to continue "doing" for others by donating her body to the Medical University of Charleston for educational purposes. At her request, a Celebration of Life Party will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the home of Natalie and Lee Poston located at 342 Chapman Drive, Johnsonville, SC, 29555.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ms. Susan's name to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD, 21741.
