Thomas Edward "Tom" Redmond, 77, husband of Cherilyn Eaddy "Sherry" Redmond, passed away Monday, March 27, 2023 in his home surrounded by his family.

Tom was born in Greenville, SC, the son of the late Winfred Homer and Mary Elizabeth Cochrell Redmond. He was the owner and operator of Redmond Agency and Tax Service and was a member of the Johnsonville First Baptist Church. He was the former Chief of the Johnsonville Rescue Squad, former Mayor and Councilman for the City of Johnsonville, a member of the Jaycees and the SC Bail Agents Association.

He was an avid pilot, enjoyed traveling, politics, was an Atlanta Braves fan, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Cherilyn "Sherry" Redmond; daughters, Denise R. Owens (Alan) and Krista R. Poston (Billy); step-daughters, Tammy Owens and Lori Feagin (Denny); step-son, Stephen Eaddy (Kendra); grandchildren, Tyler Cagle (Ariel), TeAnna Poston, Taighen Poston; step-grandchildren, ,Kasey Owens (Julie), Konnor Marlar (Evans), Mallory Feagin, Macy Broach (Mayson), Macoy Feagin, Brooks Eaddy, Allison Eaddy, and Jackson Eaddy; great-grandchildren, Draidyn Poston, Azalea Poston, Kinsley Cagle, and Paisley Cagle; step-great-grandchildren, Karoline Owens and Khloe Owens; brother-in-law, Don Pigate; caregiver, Angie T. Fowler (CNA).

He was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, David and Frances Redmond and a sister, Lynn Redmond Pigate.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, March 29, 2023 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Hemingway, SC with burial in the Garden of Devotion Cemetery, 860 S. Georgetown Hwy., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive family and friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Wednesday, March 29, 2023 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 2954.

Memorials may be made in honor of Mr. Thomas E. Redmond to the Johnsonville Rescue Squad, PO Box 1021, Johnsonville, SC 29555.
