Vallerie Jean Wise Poston, 81, widow of James "J. D." Poston, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021 at the McLeod Hospice House.

Mrs. Vallerie was born in Hannah, SC, a daughter of the late Oliver William and Audrey Stone Wise. She was a member of the Prospect Pentecostal Holiness Church and she enjoyed sewing, being in the outdoors, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sons, David (Aftene) Poston and Greg (Missie) Poston; grandchildren, Kayla, Hope, Stone, Emma, Sophia, and Nathaniel; sisters, Juanita Miles and Martha Lowrimore; brothers, Lavada Wise and Eddie Wise.

She was predeceased by a brother, O'Neal Wise and a sister, Idell Wise.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 29, 2021 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Lake Chapel Cemetery, 860 Lake Chapel Road, Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Monday, November 29, 2021 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
