Pawleys Island, SC

Virgilene C. Hanna, 80, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2022 in a Florence nursing center.

Miss Virgilene was born in Georgetown, SC, a daughter of the late John Fred Hanna, Sr. and the late Sulla Day Parsons Hanna. She was a retired bookkeeper and was a member of the Pawleys Island Community Church.

She enjoyed doing crafts and needle point but she loved taking care of her birds, cats and dogs.

She is survived by one aunt and several other cousins.

Graveside services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, October 16, 2022 in the Poplar Hill Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, 2380 S. Hwy. 41/51, Hemingway, SC 29554.
