William Dave Simmons, Jr., 80, husband of Doris Cribb Simmons, passed away December 29, 2021 in Waccamaw Tidelands Regional Hospital.

Mr. Dave was born in Hemingway, SC, a son of the late William Dave Simmons, Sr. and the late Geraldine Lynch Simmons. He was a graduate of Carlisle Military School in Camden, SC, a member of Indiantown Masonic Lodge # 165 and was a 32 ^nd Shriner of the Omar Shrine Temple. He enjoyed working on cars, going to car shows, and racing.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Doris Cribb Simmons; children, Gay Simmons and Will (Jane) Simmons; grandchildren, Sloan (Josh) Ashley, Hyatt (Maria) Ferguson, and Taylor Simmons; great-grandchildren, Brook Muse, Brixton Ashley, Ayla Ferguson, and Hudson Ferguson; brothers, Gregg Simmons and Jerry "Bully" Simmons.

Funeral services will be private, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC.
