Wiley A. "Pee Wee" Owens, 72, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020 at his home.

Mr. Wiley was born in Hemingway, SC, a son of the late Edgbert and Celina Owens. He was a retired master wood craftsman and carpenter and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He enjoyed collecting antique cars, his favorite was a 1946 Ford 4 door sedan. He also enjoyed reading his bible, listening to gospel music, but most of all spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Judith Carter Owens; daughters, Brandy (Tony) deHaas, Amy Owens, and Carter (Jeremy) Walker; special daughter, Stuart Smith Powell; grandchildren, Sydney deHaas, Stella deHaas, Maxine deHaas, Ryker Walker, Brody Owens and his father, Jamie Dennis; brother, Fredrick (Linda) Owens; special niece, Linda Kay (Andy) Nobles; special sister-in-law, Jolla Powell.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Farrell Owens, Larry Owens, and Anderson Owens.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice of Myrtle Beach and to the Kindred Home Health of Myrtle Beach as well as Dr. Belal Khokhar, Dr. Eugene Mayeaux, and Dr. Mark Triana.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 26, 2020 in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be in the Pine Bluff Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 25, 2020 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
