William David "Bill" Pontius, 74, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2019 in the McLeod Hospice House.

Mr. Bill was born in Wauseon, Ohio, a son of the late Eugene and Emma Peet Pontius. He was a retired computer programmer, a member of the Johnsonville First Baptist Church, and was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam Era. He loved to play on his computer.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Rogers Pontius; son, Matthew "Matt" Pontius; step-son, Steven Furches. He was predeceased by a son, William David Pontius, II.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, October 21, 2019 in the Johnsonville First Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be in the Lake Chapel Cemetery, 860 Lake Chapel road, Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Monday, October 21, 2019 in the Johnsonville First Baptist Church, 15 N. Georgetown Hwy., Johnsonville, SC 29555.
