Hemingway, SC

William T. "Tommy" Franks, 71, widower of Ruby Nettles Franks, passed away Monday, August 6, 2018 from injuries sustained in an auto accident.

Mr. Tommy was born in Waynesboro, TN, a son of the late J. C. "Smiley" Franks and the late Alta Mae Brown Moore. He was a retired construction supervisor, a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of Indiantown Masonic Lodge # 165. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cutting grass but loved to give advice.

Surviving are his sons, Eric (Anna) Franks, Brent (Michael Hughes) Franks; grandchildren, Madison Rose Franks and Thomas Blanding; brothers, John (Linda) Moore and Troy (Janice) Moore; sisters, Elizabeth (Jimmy) Prescott and Sue Franks Smith.

Graveside services, with full Masonic Rites, will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 9, 2018 in the Eaddy Ford Cemetery, 481 S. Eaddy Ford Road, Johnsonville, SC 29555, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Morris Funeral Home, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
