Willie Owens Mercer, 89, wife of Guy Wilson "Billy" Mercer, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Willie was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late William Julius and Clara Tyler Owens. She was a homemaker, a member of the Good Hope United Methodist Church and taught the Children's Sunday School Class. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, doing things for others, singing, listening to music, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Guy Wilson "Billy" Mercer, son, Kevin Mercer (Bryanna Ware); grandchildren, Tabitha Mercer, Eden Olivia Mercer, and Nicholas Edward Mercer.

She was predeceased by two sons, James Randall Mercer and Mark Edward Mercer.

Graveside services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 26, 2021 in the Good Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery, 7547 Pleasant Hill Dr., Hemingway, SC 29554.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 PM Tuesday, January 26, 2021 in the Good Hope United Methodist Church, 7547 Pleasant Hill Dr., Hemingway, SC 29554.
